The man who first ate crabs is brave, who first appreciate it is also a brave one. The man who first broke the regulation of movie is a hero, who first appreciate the new expression of movie is also a hero.

“NEED” is a movie without any story. It is an image of concept with human desire as its symbol. It is composed of eight parts representing every aspect of human nature ad desire. It uses metaphor and symbolization to display human beings’ greedy and indescribable desire through continuous imbroglio between spirit and material, which penetrates in the movie and is paralysed with the scenario at the same time in the form of news reports. This special news report reflects and evidences the embodiment of human desire.

This kind of new expression by means of abstract and representation is imaginative, aesthetic, and straightforward; it is cruel, excursive, and contemplative. Shadow, which penetrates in the whole film, is empty and abrupt. It has no substance. Shadow is not just shadow. It involves an understanding of the universe.  She is a genius or an angel set by the god. So it can also act as the salvation. “NEED” evolves from this dreamy salvation. It rescues and shows the relations between female and male, female and female, male and male, female rights and male rights, as the desire springing from human mature and outside human bodies.

The actors and actresses in the movie are not the leading role. The viewers before screens are real leading actors/actresses.  The women and men inside the movie are just their figures. The movie indicates viewers’ thoughts and needs, displaying on screens and forming a visual journey of their intention. During the movie, hands suddenly stretches into the screen (from the viewers) placating women bodies, repeating mechanically—life is dull, but desire is boundless, which expands between screen and viewers, contributes to realization of live interaction, but not just make up a story in which viewers somnambulate blindly. “NEED”is not describing a story, it is a concept.
